Some trends are fun to follow, but others can be downright life-threatening. One such trend was the size zero trend that took the lives of 3 models who were 22, 18, and 21 years old. Many tabloids at the time referred to this as an eating disorder to try to cover up the dangerous fashion trend.
This wasn’t the first time that the size zero trend has been condemned or has been a subject of debate. The condition may also be referred to as heroin chic, an image of a young, fragile, and underweight girl who is generally in a sense of panic because of the possible addiction to drugs. The size zero outrage had unimaginable power; when most celebrities started following this trend, it became more of a need than just a fashion. With thin models walking through fashion shows and appearing on the cover of every fashion magazine, the showbiz wave started to show its consequences.

Measures To Solve The Mess
Everyone kept blaming the other one for being responsible for this mess, and as a result, many countries knew something had to be done. Several countries attempted to condemn size-zero models from walking in fashion shows. Consequently, the fashion industry has changed today, and models don’t starve themselves to get cast. However, recently there have been rumors of concern with the inclusion of a range of body types in the high-end world of fashion. There are signs that the trend may be coming back to life with the return of short dresses from hips to clavicles.

In the last month, a Miu Miu skirt set became famous that was worn by everyone from Zendaya to Nicole Kidman, Bella Hadid, and more. The dress has a belted top, belted skirt, and a cable knit jumper that reveals the body. It became the most-desired outfit in the industry because of its quality of showing off your toned body. Now, this dress may become an inspiration for many designers, and with that image in mind, this may be idealized by casters hiring for fashion shows and other projects.

If brands want to condemn this trend for good, then they should start introducing expanded sizes, which are usually not available. Versace, Moschino, and many other high-end stores don’t have size options above size 18. Fashion thrives on the fresh and the new. Whatever seems dull, reviving them into a new piece is what fashion is all about.
Anna Shillinglaw, the founder of a model agency, explains that she had eight models in their Valentino show, and it was done beautifully to inspire other people to follow in their footsteps. For the curve board, this has been better than other shows yet, but there is still a long way to go.
